What do people use humor for?  The answers are many and very much the same for deaf people as for hearing. But deaf comics step beyond humor to deaf humor, and beyond deaf humor to sign language humor.  We’ll look at the full gamut, and touch on aspects of what it means to be born deaf in a hearing world, of deaf culture, and of the structure of American Sign Language and of British Sign Language, as well as some matters common to all sign languages (so far as we know).
