Varieties of Meaning: Semantic and Pragmatic Approaches

The course is devoted to aspects of linguistic meaning that crucially involve properties of the context and considerations of language use. It focuses on the interplay between semantics and pragmatics by concentrating on conversational implicatures, presuppositions and speech acts.
