Linguistics and Language Acquisition

Back to "Fall 2012" courses

We will investigate the development of language from infancy to adulthood. The class examines naturalistic and experimental data related to the acquisition of phonology, syntax, and semantics. The major topics to be covered include: speech perception, word learning; grammatical development and the neural and computational basis for language development.
