The Humanities Council’s Program in Linguistics is pleased to award 7 independent concentrations and 15 certificates to graduates of the Class of 2023.
The program hosted an in-person Class Day celebration on Monday, May 29. Laura Kalin, who gave the opening remarks to welcome the graduates and their families, was joined by other members of Linguistics’ teaching and advising faculty, Byron Ahn, Christiane Fellbaum, Alexander Göbel, and Jack Merrill, to honor each of the graduating independent concentrators and certificate students.
The co-winners of this year’s Senior Thesis Prize in Linguistics, Colin Vega and Reis O’Neill White, were also announced. The prize recognizes the best senior thesis written and defended by an independent concentrator.
