The Program in Linguistics’ American Sign Language (ASL) courses were featured in March 20 issue of the Princeton Alumni Weekly. As well as learning sign language, students are taught about Deaf culture by Noah Buchholz who is the instructor on ASL I and ASL II. Student numbers have grown significantly since the courses were offered for the first time in 2017. “The Humanities Council has steadily expanded funding for ASL courses to keep pace with student enthusiasm,” said Council Director Kathleen Crown.
